DCPSL Company Overview
Established in June 2001, DC Power Systems Ltd is a privately owned and operated company based in Trinidad and Tobago. Our primary areas of business include the design, engineering, supply, installation, service and maintenance of Industrial Batteries and Battery Chargers, Industrial Grade UPS’s and Inverters, AC & DC Power Systems, Solar and other Renewable Energy products, and Waste Heat Recovery Systems.As the local pioneer of solar and renewable energy systems, we were responsible for the supply, install and commission of the first ever Grid-Tied Solar and Wind power systems in Trinidad and Tobago. We also act as the local authorised representative for several international manufacturers.

Our team comprises of highly competent personnel with over 75 years of combined experience. Not only trained and certified, our staff specialises in providing excellent technical support and service for various applications, whether on land or offshore and with the full support of our Principals for access to additional engineering and/or technical expertise as the need arises.
DCPSL Founder and Managing Director
A third generation Trinidadian, born and raised in San Fernando, Mr. Boon attended Presentation College until 1968 when he moved to Canada where he studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, and lived for 10 years. Although interested in Solar and other forms of Renewable Energy from a very early age, it was at the University of Victoria that the first of numerous courses in Renewables was taken.
Returning home to Trinidad in 1977, Mr. Boon managed several large Pipeline and General Construction Projects locally as well as in Antigua, the Cayman Islands and Aruba while nurturing his interest in Solar and other forms of Renewable Energy. He made his first investment into Solar Photovoltaic products in 1983, and sold his first stand-alone rural residential power system to a family in Barrackpore in 1984, which was still in daily operation up to 6 or 7 years ago when Utility power became available in the area.
Mr. Boon has been responsible for the design, supply and installation of hundreds of small stand-alone Solar / Renewable Energy systems for Residential, Commercial and Offshore Oil & Gas applications. A local pioneer; in 2012, he designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the first ever Grid-Tied Solar and Wind power systems in T&T. While persevering through the many years of promoting the use of Renewables locally, it was in fact Energy Storage, by way of Industrial Batteries, that paid most of the bills and still does today.
